Dear IIWP Supporters,
October was a busy and beautiful month at the ranch. In case some of you want to plan a visit next year, October is consistently wonderful weather up here. Things are dry, but generally, the summer heat breaks and every day is around 75 degrees and sunny. It’s stunning.
Our mission statement at Windermere is to provide a place for people to experience peace and a greater attunement to nature and God. To support that, our focus of late has been identifying incompletions and completing them.
It’s a fun and freeing process. In fact, the other day as we were driving up to the gate to come onto Windermere, LeiLani and I both noticed a greater level of lightness and openness on the ranch. You know how it feels at your house after handling all sorts of incompletions during a Spring cleaning? That’s what we’re talking about, but perhaps on a bigger (160 acre, 6 houses, 1 barn, 30 goats … ) scale. Love it!
We had a wonderful work party in October where we cleared out space to put in a meditation labyrinth. We had some horse paneling and fencing that was no longer serving a purpose, so we took that down. It’s clearing the way for a beautiful, full-size Chartres replica meditation labyrinth, which we will install as soon as we raise the funds.
Speaking of which, we’ve launched a fundraising campaign to raise $5,000 to build the labyrinth. We currently have raised just over 20% of that! Woohoo! We feel the support. If you’d like to contribute to this project, please submit your donation here by clicking “Donate.”
Also, we’re looking for volunteers for a small work party on Saturday, November 23. We’ll be pulling out e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g from one of our guest houses, doing a deep cleaning, and bringing in all new furniture.
